Dr Ben Robinson
Program Director
Ben has extensive experience in the finance and property industries. Within his career he has held senior management and analytical roles in both the corporate and institutional property finance divisions of major Australian banks as well as consultancy and advisory roles for major Australian land owners, developers and institutions. Ben has intimate knowledge of the specific capital and feasibility requirements of both investor and developer client alike.
Whilst working with Probico, Ben has delivered strategic solutions on behalf of clients related to, site analysis, market analysis, legal frameworks, highest and best use, program creation, program delivery, valuation, proprietary feasibility software (Estate Master), and project finance. Major clients have included the State Government of Victoria, large Church organisations, not-for profit organisations and private development entities.
Ben holds the degrees of Bachelor of Business (Management and Finance), Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, Master of Commerce, Master of Business (Property) and has completed his doctoral research in Built Environment. In his spare time he enjoys 'watching' sport, keeping active, guest lecturing, researching innovative land use topics and keeping up with family life.
Mark Wist
Research Advisor
Mark has been a well respected member of the property industry for over 25 years, with key senior roles including Chair of the Oceania Education and Standards Board of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Mark’s key advisory mandates have predominantly been in the fields of property economics, market dissemination and strategic land use on behalf of private equity firms, major research houses, Universities and Government organisations.
Mark provides executive management advice, property economic reporting, land use solutions and advanced analytical data for complex single asset and portfolio transactions on behalf of key clients, who respect his level headed approach to complex matters. Major clients have included private sector, government organisations, Australian listed and unlisted funds and institutional investors.
Mark holds the degree of Bachelor of Property having subsequently registered as a valuer and has engaged in doctoral research at the University of Reading. Mark is also a Fellow of the APDI.
Nick Shashkoff
Project Director
Nick has been working in the field of engineering and project delivery for over 30 years. He has worked for various government departments, land developers and served a substantial period with Turner & Townsend as Project Director. Nick is an Engineer by trade and has worked on some of the largest infrastructure and major projects in Australia and overseas. Nick’s key advisory mandates have predominantly been in the fields of land use, market assessment, design assistance, buildability, deliverability, costing, reporting on building lifecycles, project delivery, client side defects and anything in between. Whether a University, Government Department, Hospital, School, Private Developer or other major built form, Nick has had experience.
Nick's most recent engagements have included, a major commercial redevelopment, University redesign and delivery, hospital fit-out and major private school campus redesign and delivery. Nick holds qualifications in Engineering and Project Management.
